This project was the third phase of expansion at an existing Church Complex located in Stockbridge, Georgia. Current addition includes a 2-story Classroom/Gymnasium Building, Chapel, and two-story Foyer, which connects Phase I, II, plus Phase III. The overall master plan called for connecting the new addition with the two existing buildings. The connecting Foyer's most unique feature is a 106-foot long skylight, which brings the outside into the two-story space. The Foyer's design allowed for the development of large open fountain and monumental stair, which will be used for Church functions including wedding ceremonies.
The current phase has been designed to allow for future expansion of the Main Sanctuary Space and Classroom Building expansions. In addition a new drop off canopy has been planned when the Sanctuary is expanded. Exterior materials used for the current expansion included brick veneer, stone window surrounds, and stone cap flashings, which matched the original building construction.
